Hello! I am Yufeng Xia, a PhD student from the School of Journalism and Communication at Tsinghua University (China), and will graduate in June 2023. My research areas are political communication and environmental communication. I focus on content design and media effect of social media, with three papers accepted by ICA and IAMCR conferences and two studies about higher education published in leading China’s journals, as well as serving as reviewers for both conferences. I specialize in quantitative communication research.

The title of my doctoral dissertation is Climate Communication and Citizen Participation in Climate Change Public Sphere. It explores how the public sphere of climate change in China is constructed and developed through social media, driven by the state and the public, and it analyze the topic from the perspectives of macro-level national climate governance, meso-level climate policy debates, and micro-level media effects.

I’m looking for faculty or postdoctoral position recently.
